Remote control should stay
close to home.

Intellimote is designed around local-device control. This policy explains the limited cases where information leaves your device.

Effective July 26, 2026

In brief: Intellimote has no advertising or tracking SDKs, does not create an account, and does not sell personal information. Device discovery and remote commands stay on your local network. A now-playing title is processed only when the app requests poster artwork.

1. Information used on your local network

Intellimote asks for Local Network access so it can discover and control compatible televisions, receivers, and speakers. Device details such as a local IP address, name, type, identifiers, pairing state, and supported capabilities are stored on your Apple devices as needed to reconnect and provide remote controls.

Remote commands are sent directly from your Apple device to the controlled device on the local network. Intellimote does not upload your local device list to an Intellimote account or advertising service.

2. Poster artwork requests

When a supported television reports a now-playing title and Intellimote requests matching poster artwork, that title is sent over an encrypted connection through Cloudflare to an Intellimote-operated service hosted on Amazon Web Services. The service uses the title to request a possible match from TMDB.

The service is designed to minimize retained information:

Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services, and TMDB process information as service providers under their own privacy terms. You can continue using remote-control features if poster artwork is unavailable.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions and purchase restoration are handled by Apple through the App Store. Intellimote receives transaction status and product information needed to unlock features, but does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple’s handling of your account and payment information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

4. Support email

If you contact support@dniklewicz.com, the email address, message, attachments, and related correspondence are used to answer the request, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and keep a reasonable support record. Support messages are retained only as long as needed for those purposes or legal obligations, then deleted.

You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address. Do not send passwords or device pre-shared keys.

5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Intellimote does not include advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking SDKs, or third-party behavioral analytics. It does not sell personal information and does not use information to build advertising profiles.

This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, account forms, or other tracking technologies. Standard network infrastructure may process basic connection data such as an IP address to deliver and secure the site.

6. Security and retention

Information sent to Intellimote-operated internet services uses encrypted transport. No system can guarantee absolute security, but the service is designed to limit the information collected and how long it remains available.

Local app data remains on your devices until you remove devices in Intellimote, delete the app, or erase the device, subject to Apple platform backup and synchronization behavior.

7. Children

Intellimote is a utility and is not directed to children for the purpose of collecting personal information. The app does not knowingly create profiles for children.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Intellimote’s features or service providers change. The effective date at the top will be revised, and material changes will be communicated where required.

9. Contact
